Pickleball is evolving, and so is the way we understand player performance.

As an Athlete Consultant - Head of Paddle Development with KinetIQ™, I bring my experience as a professional pickleball coach and competitive player to the development of innovative paddle-based performance technology.

KinetIQ™ combines measurable paddle movement with coaching insights to help players better understand their technique, identify opportunities for improvement, and make purposeful adjustments to their game.

My Role in KinetIQ™

My involvement with KinetIQ™ focuses on connecting the technology with what actually happens on the pickleball court. As a coach, I observe how players prepare, move, position their paddles, make contact with the ball, and follow through. These observations help me identify the technical adjustments that can improve shot quality, consistency, and control. Working with KinetIQ™ allows me to contribute this coaching perspective to paddle development, performance measurements, and practical player feedback. The goal is to help bridge the gap between what the technology measures and what players can do with that information.

From Measurement to Meaningful Improvement

KinetIQ™ explores paddle performance through metrics such as Grip, Brush, Slice, Drive, Power, and Follow-Through. These measurements can provide another perspective on how a player executes a shot. But numbers alone don't tell the whole story. Understanding what those measurements mean - and how they relate to technique, control, and shot outcomes - is where coaching plays an important role.
