Sara McInnes is a pickleball coach and professional player who’s been competing in pickleball since 2016. Sara is a two-time Canadian Women’s Doubles bronze medalist, a US Open Women’s Singles silver medalist, and a Canadian Women’s Singles bronze medalist. What started as just curiosity in 2015 quickly became a hobby for her. By 2019, Sara made the leap into the professional world of pickleball as a certified coach and product advisor

and still competes in high-level pickleball.

Having always been connected to the sports industry, whether through volunteer work or team sports, it’s no surprise that she ended up in one concentrated sport. What was surprising was just how fast pickleball drew her away from Division One soccer. Sara has traveled around Canada and many states, from Florida to California, to compete in pickleball, and she focuses on bringing her experiences back to Toronto, Canada, to help develop the sport in the city.

In addition to her accomplishments in pickleball, Sara McInnes is also a passionate advocate for promoting the sport in her community. She led the formation of the non-profit Toronto Pickleball Club, working to create opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to learn and enjoy the game. Through the club's initiatives, Sara aims to foster a vibrant pickleball community in Toronto and provide access to the sport for as many people as possible.

 

When not playing pickleball, Sara stays busy with other sports, such as golf, ice skating, downhill skiing, and enjoys cooking meals for her family. Her dedication to sports, coaching, and community involvement continues to make a positive impact in the world of pickleball.
